Meet Our Students

I started Vail Distance Learning Program when I found out it was too late to get into Algebra 1 at my middle school. We had just heard about VDLP at high school orientation, and Mom asked if I would like to give it a try.
After I started it, I found the lessons easy to follow and understand. If I had a question I could email my teacher and expect a response immediately or the following day.
Once, my teacher didn't understand what my problem was. Feeling it was too hard for me to explain via email, so she phoned me and asked me directly.
Overall, I think the course was successful and I learned a lot.

I am so happy that this program has been offered.
My daughter was struggling to get organized, because in traditional school if you miss one assignment catching up is impossible. My daughter has a new sense of self and her accomplishments. I am enjoying bonding with her and helping her with her assignments.
When she was in traditional school I struggled to get responses from teachers then when I did get responses I had no idea what my daughter was supposed to turn in. Now I can monitor all of her work and progress as well as be involved.
This alternative was perfect for us.

VDLP has been a great experience for me as a student in high school.
It has not only given me knowledge and skills that I can use throughout my life but it has also given me the push and support that I needed to succeed. The teachers in the VDLP and at Vail High School have been tremendous in their efforts at helping me excel in my classes and their never ending support has been amazing.
I must thank Mrs. Watkins especially because as well as managing all of the VDLP students and tests, she never forgot that I was my own unique person. She was always happy to see me and ALWAYS there when I needed her! I'm so grateful to her and will always appreciate everything she did for me.
VDLP let me work at my own pace while completing all of my classes in full. It gave me the chance to earn all my credits in a relaxed and happy environment and I truly enjoyed the VDLP. I hope that all others that enroll with the VDLP will feel the same about it as I have and that this article will inspire people to join the VDLP!
